PUNCHEDcanvas Theatre Company premiere their first production The Pugilist, an intimate and lyrical one-hour play exploring the experiences Lorna endures in the boxing ring she shares with her female opponents, and in the bedroom she shares with Victor, a young man who irons increasingly salacious clothes for a living. Burdened not only by the strain of a girlfriend who gives and takes punches in the face, as the stakes get higher, Victor also begins visiting Lorna’s estranged father after a near-life threatening bout in his youth.
